For quite long time, Weets' health was not what it had to be. But at the end of 2007, while working on his second large painting, he collapsed completely, in a manner of speaking. Not only was he unable to paint, but also unable to look after himself. Leaving the house was just out of the question, because of the disease Weets suffered from.
After the initial 'visit-the-patient' period, many acquaintances forgot of his existence and this did not make him very happy. Nevertheless, gradually Weets understood that just because of his confinement, the ideas about how and what to paint started to emerge and develop more than ever before.
In 2009, when he restarted on the unfinished canvas of 2007, he understood that solitude is necessary to be able to unlock all the gates, to release what is hidden in the subconscious and unconscious mind.
The longer Weets stayed in his solitary confinement, the better his paintings became, he noticed. So he decided to stay that way.
