Artist, as a genius.
An artist, whom you can call a genius, is somebody who creates something unique or takes over something and builds on it in so far that you say only this artist can do what he did and there is nobody else who can repeat that easily. Picasso is a very nice example of that. He didn’t really invent anything, he took over. But he went so far in what he took over that it became unique. He did not go only on techniques. It’s not how he used his paint or his brush, it’s about what he did with the subject. He put something of his own in it so that it gets a language that really talks, making it so unique that you recognize a Picasso anywhere and that makes him, as an artist, a genius.
